Below are the light spectra for the LG OLED TV and for the Samsung LCD TV with Quantum Dots. OLEDs are emissive displays that use specially formulated OLED materials to produce saturated Red, Green, and Blue Primary Colors. Most LCDs use a backlight made up of White LEDs that result in less saturated colors. The Quantum Dots in the Samsung LCD TV transform the backlight of Blue LEDs into very saturated Red and Green Primary Colors.
